Our Mission

Founded in memory of Adam, a passionate outdoorsman who tragically lost his life in Glacier National Park, our non-profit is dedicated to enhancing safety in the backcountry. We collaborate with local stakeholders, park visitors, and experts to develop comprehensive safety measures, educational programs, and resources. Our mission is to ensure that adventurers can explore nature's wonders with confidence, armed with the knowledge and tools to stay safe. By merging Adam's love for the outdoors with our commitment to prevention, we strive to make every journey in the wilderness a safe and memorable one.

Our Impact

In response to valuable feedback from our community, The Adam Fuselier Safe Trails Foundation is dedicated to pioneering several impactful safety initiatives in Glacier National Park. These initiatives include the establishment of InReachKiosks for effective communication, the introduction of a Climbing Ranger Program, and advocating for a mandatory climbing log. Furthermore, we're exploring the possibility of providing personal safety equipment, such as helmets and SPOT devices, on a free/low-cost check in/out basis. We're also keenly interested in promoting educational components for backcountry travelers, ensuring they are equipped with essential safety knowledge. By melding community insights with our foundational goals, we're striving to make every wilderness venture both safe and memorable.
